Data Delay On Some Discharge Locations - Thames Water

Something that may be of interest, but certainly nothing new and given the current water flows (and temperatures)!!, The time period of discharge however doesn't mean much with without a reading of the volume released. This further demonstrates that the system is not coping, (nothing new there either). Does this raise suspisions that it couyld be covering problems when they would be very difficult to assess? Please remember to report any manhole discharge instances which would indicate hydraulic overload.

At the next LFCC meeting (09/02/23), we would like to get some ideas about what projects members think are worth carrying out on your waters. We have a project proposal brief to help members develop their ideas which we can discuss at the meeting. We can then help to refine the projects and hopefully identify potential funding sources.

EA - Fisheries Improvement Programme (FIP)
The portal is now open (it will close at 11.59pm on 5th March 2023)
The Environment Agency (EA) is inviting applications for a share of £500,000 to help support fish and fishing.
The EA is encouraging proposals from angling clubs, fisheries, NGOs, local authorities or other community organisations involved in angling.
Money for projects to improve habitat and facilities for anglers will be made available through the Fisheries Improvement Programme, which comes directly from fishing licence sales.
The fund can also help fisheries become more resilient to the impact of climate change.
