Introduction to Hydromorphology (Level 1) - 19th June 2019, Newbury Berks.
This practical one-day course, featuring field-based demonstration on a nearby river, will introduce participants to hydromorphology. It will cover aspects of geomorphology and hydrology, and improve your knowledge in the related fields of river restoration, green infrastructure for bank protection, ecology and natural flood management.
Mapping for Natural Flood Management - 3rd & 4th July, Cranfield University, Bedfordshire.
These 2 back-to-back courses require no prior knowledge of GIS, geomorphology or modelling. Aerial photo interpretation, GIS, fieldwork and geomorphology will be used to indicate historical floodplain boundaries, surface runoff pathways and demonstrate potential areas of flood storage.
