Working backwards from the mouth of the new backwater in sections. Each section was dug out and finished whilst the temporary "Dam" held the water back. The river water was let in gently to each section by removing the dam. This was done to prevent a large influx of water at the final stage.

Three 9t dumpers were used over two days to tensport the spoil to a different onsite location

Excavated spoil. This was used on a different part of the site out of the flood plain as part of the construction of the Farley Hill Horse Trails event course. This was made into a mound and left to dry and settle for twelve months and finally used in the Horse Trials in June 2022.
