A big thank you to EA Fisheries Officer Ade Bicknell and the team at the EA's Calverton Fish Farm near Nottingham for the stocking of 300 Barbel, 200 Chub, 200 Dace and 150 Roach in the River Blackwater at Swallowfield and the St Patricks Stream, Twyford on Thursday 14th November. All of the Barbel where marked with a single blue dot under the pelvic fin so please keep an eye out for these if you are lucky enough to catch one and please let Ade at the EA or the LFCC know if you do. It is important to collect as much data as possible from catches of these marked fish so a good photo of the fish showing the mark, any identifying features it may had picked up since stocking, a length measurement if you can or a picture against something by which a size can be gauged, When and where it was caught.
