Free Invasive Species Week Zoom event on Tuesday 25th May, 18:15 - 20:00.
It’s largely focused on issues in the Trent catchment and Lincolnshire, but the information will be relevant national across most river systems and stillwaters.
Talks include:
· David Aldridge (Cambridge University) – Invasive bivalves in the Trent catchment and Lincolnshire rivers: origins, impacts and management options.
· Cormac Meenehan (Environment Agency) – Invasive fish species
· Nicola Craven – (Lincolnshire Rivers Trust) – Strategic approach to the eradication of floating pennywort on the River Witham.
· Simone Guareschi (Loughborough University) – Implications of Invasive Alien Species (INNS) on the biomonitoring metrics and functional diversity of rivers: Dikerogammarus haemobaphes case study
