Environment Agency Pollution Officers are working with Thames Water to resolve a burst sewage rising main at Hook.
Although there was initial concern about pollution to the River Whitewater dilution levels with clean water are high and water quality readings are ok. Although unfortunately some rag has run off and entered the river.
There has been no impact to fish and wildlife that we are aware of and tankers are working to relieve the situation.
I will keep the LFCC informed of any significant impact.
