The articles describe the problems at Arborfield and the works undertaken to restore the habitats. Part 1 covers the "before" position and explains how we ended up having to take drastic measures to restore some key ecological functions. Part 2 describes the works which were carried out to install the new channel and the spawning gravels.
Part 3 will follow in late 2012 and will hopefully describe how the fish have been using the spawning gravels and what a good habitat has been provided for fry and juvenile fishes.
