This will be about results from risk based working with natural processes (fallen trees) on the River Blackwater, Surrey/Hants. We have seen some excellent results thanks to the work with the Blackwater Valley Countryside Partnership, the community, angling clubs, Loddon Fisheries and Conservation Consultative and Queen Mary University London (supporting monitoring with MSc students). We are aware this can be a tricky subject, but with risk assessments in place and good communications, we are seeing enhanced ecology while managing flood risk. Great value.
